What is the difference between the account name when the account is first created and the new account name changed later on? I've found the user account name remains unchanged after new account name is saved, logged off and logged on again when checked with Windows Explorer. And the system won't log in with new account name anyway. So it looks like the new account name is for show only.
The reason I ask all this because I need to have all the user names identical within a local network so that they can access one another. By mistake I have got the spelling slightly different for one user among the computers.
So does it mean the only solution I have is to create another account with the correct spelling I want and then transfer the settings and copy all the files over?
