Guest MargoKW
Hello. I opened a Microsoft Word attachment to an email (using Outlook Web Access in IE9) and OPENED the file from the email rather than SAVING it (turns out to be a big mistake...). I worked on the document for a few hours, saving along the way. I never got a prompt from Microsoft Word to designate a location for the save so I kept assuming that I had either set the location at the beginning and forgot to do so or that it was saving the updated file in the Downloads folder. However, when I finished the document, saved, exited Microsoft Word, and tried to attach the file to an email, I discovered that, in fact, I had neither designated a place to save the file and it was not in my IE Download Manager OR Downloads folder on my computer. I'm hoping/wishing/praying that it might have been saved to a default temporary file location by IE (since IE obviously provided this location and not Word--Word always prompts for a save location). Anyone know where this temporary location might be? I really, really, don't want to have to do all my work over again. It's stuff like this that really adds to IE's horrible reputation.
