Can't get update KB2686509 to install. ***(Problem resolved)***..see link below.

Performed a Manual RESET on the<u> Windows Update components</u>...skipped step 4 (as recommended in procedure) because this was my 1st attempt .

Changed directory to... cd /d %windir%system32

Reregisterd BITS and WinUdate files...2 files Not Found

The two files are:  (regsvr32.exe <u>mshtml.dll</u>)  and  (regsvr32.exe

<u>wucltux.dll</u>)

Received  "<u>Command not found</u>" on ...c:><em>netsh reset winsock</em> , also on ...c:WINDOWSsystem32><em>netsh reset winsock</em>

Rebooted PC ... Still get same update FAILED message when trying to update from MS Update site.
