Guest LarryEFoster Posted February 14, 2012 Share Posted February 14, 2012 I have a new ASUS A73S computer and I have two problems which are proving mind blowing since ASUS Member Support does not respond to Tech Support requests. 1st - The CD/DVD drive driver will is bad and since I can't run the drive my BU disks are worthless. After hours of going to sites for downloads and being led down the path of free downloads only to asked to sign-up for the service at a fee. Any suggestions? At first it did work and then stopped a week ago. Of course with no drive my backup system disks are of no value. 2nd - The computer shuts off [on power] the wireless connection after a short period of time. It has happened on three different wireless routers. I have shut-off all power saving settings, device power settings, etc. and it continues to happen. [RaLink 802.11n Wireless LAN Card] I am an experienced XP user but Windows 7 is new to me and as of yet not to my likeing. Trouble shooter always ends up sending me ask my friends. Any thought?
