Hey guys I just got a new cellphone for Christmas, the Samsung SGH A747, the newest Samsung model and I have AT&T so I'm very excited.

There's pics below but anyway my question is - is there a way for me to connect my phone to my computer? I'm trying to get free ringtones, like I want to edit a 30 second No More Sorrow clip or something and transfer it to my new phone and set it as a ringtone. I'm not good with cells yet since it's my first one (I'm good with computers though lol). I went online and searched for a coord that'd connect my phone to my USB port but I couldn't find one and I asked a friend and he said he doubts they even make them. So is there a way I can get like free ringtones or something or hook my phone up to my computer....?

All / any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Ahh they should make one, mostly all phones to my knowledge have them. Or does it have bluetooth or infrared? U can sometime use that, and buy a bluetooth/infrared usb connector..

Thats all i know..

and you can connect to any pc via bluetooth if you have a bluetooth adapter, its a small usb device you put into your pc. my friend has one

That's a very cool phone Mark!! But yeah like Josh said you can connect to your pc via bluetooth, I guess your phone has bluetooth right? Just buy a bluetooth adapter and then you can connect it to a usb port on your pc and transfer files (including mp3's you wanna use as ringtones) from your computer easily. That's what I do and it's very convenient and simple :)

Samsung phones are nice to look at but truely horrible to use! Not quite as bad as Sagem but around the leauge with Motorola

i have the samsung D900 myself and never had any problems with it

and mark, mine just came with a cable to connect it to my usb on my pc..

Well...I also have a samsung myself...the SGH-L 760 and it's so easy to handle...but that's maybe because I flashed it...

and yeah Mark there should be a USB cable available

but it would be easier to use a micro sd card...and they are cheaper I think.

You don't have to make an account, but if you do, you're able to upload your own music and make them into ringtones. Then, you can send them to your phone via text message for free =o I made an account, and I have TONS of ringtones from there hehe. Sometimes, you'll find some of the songs, so it would be a good idea to browse around for the song you'd like. If you do find it, you can send that free of charge to your phone as well =o It's actually a pretty neat site, if I do say so myself.

If you make an account, you can cut the ringtone down and take off parts you don't like or whatever. Basically enabling you to perfect your very own ringtone. Like I said before, it's free of charge. You're only gonna be charged for the text messages, so if you have unlimited texting, then it's truly free =o

my samsung u700 pawnages!

usb,bluetooth,infared,card reader, the skies the limit really, most samsungs now have mobile internet too, so i spose u could just pop things on ur own gmail/hotmail etc

main question is...why didnt they give you a usb chord with ur fone???? i mean...my fone box came with EVERYTHING,usb cable,micro sd card,lanyard,protective screens,case,chargers...etc

i use card reader and usb, mainly usb casue it means my fone can charge at the same time ^^

SAMSUNG FTW!!!
