Chest-beating

How did you get where you are now? Did you work towards a goal? Did you plan your success? Did you overcome obstacles to get where you are?

Or were you born in the middle of the food chain, destined for a life of sustained mediocrity, with your game plan decided for you by your peers and elders?

What do you feel like beating your chest over? Your achievements? Or your status?

Uhh... long story very short >>>

Born in ATL to a Lebanese father and an African mother, my parents always verbally fought and disagreed over a bunch of **** so we ended up moving closer to my uncles on my fathers side in Switzerland where my dad opened up a restaurant... My father was away for working a lot so my parents split, I moved to Canada with my mom with a $100 bucks in her pocket, but luckily she finished her Bachelors in switzerland. We were in a shelter for a long *** time until my mom could get a solid job, trying to manage that and school, after awhile she earned enough money to rent a place and still managing to feed us and cloth us well.

(There are a few tid-bits missing from the story, I am tryed to make it as short as I could so a lot of background info is missing. If you notice how I jumped from different scenarios...)

After my mother completed Law School, my uncle employed my mother under his Law Practice and I guess ever since than my mom was able to buy a nice house and get a good job.

I don't think I could ever repay my mom for what she did though. Thats one due I can't un-do.
