Child Dies From Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound
COLUMBUS, Ohio -
Police said a 5-year-old boy in east Columbus died of a self-inflicted
gunshot wound Tuesday night.
The boy found a loaded handgun inside his South Champion Avenue home,
police said.
He was in a front bedroom when he pulled the trigger.
The bullet entered the child's torso and he was rushed to Children's
Hospital.
The child was pronounced dead at the hospital just after 9 p.m.,
police said.
