So right now I have the arms, swinger, elka linkage, QT hood, seat, rims on. All 3 shocks are at Stadium getting the once over.. Front shocks are coming back with all black springs and a gold reservoire :gr_cool: What I need: longer chain, 4+1 offset wheels if anyone has any, and some VP fuel A picture of my stem after I had a little dismount, lol. chronicsmoke
that thing looks sick! what kind of exhaust are you running? the tip of it looks like a pro circuit. Thanks, it's a PC. It sounds good.. might make a switch to Rossier or Dasa eventually though I was going to get new graphics, but I want to rebuild it with a different color scheme next year so I think I'll save it for then. (crown royal colurs i think.. purple gold and incorporate the red crown in the graphics, white fenders. just an idea) Quote CRASHTEST RACING IMMORTAL ATV http://www.offtopic.forum/data/MetaMirrorCache/7cbc5acb2a1ab76eac286e7fe5b4520d.jpg

chronicsmoke
Update: Ordered new MXR6 rears to throw on for races, I have a different set of beadlocks for those. Ordered a new Z ring chain, and 13t front sprocket (<- my goal is to launch from 2nd, even thougn I liked the 14/38 setup, I found I was clutching too much) Who's running 13/38 on 18's? Opinions? Ordered a new Pro Armour K-switch. Started making some mud plugs too for my OMF scallops, i think I'm going to get them stickered today with 'crash test' symbols, that or Pacman haha. 450Riot
I hated MXR6's. Super soft tires. Let me know what you think of them on the track though. Mattonln
Really? I like mxr6s way better than quadcross. I ran 13/38 for a while on 18s no clutching needed at all but i would top 5th out on long straights pretty easily. What cam are you running? Whats your motor build? 450Riot
I'm 14/38 stock motor just a dasa in and out. I ran different gearing with 18" mxr6 tires. Now I run klaw xc 20's. chronicsmoke
Matt: I'm running an HRC cam, 13:1 piston, very minor porting, full pro circuit exhaust, and a Uni filter with the HRC lid.. I haven't really had to use much of 5th anyway, most tracks I ride at don't have any really long straights. Any suggestions besides a 13T sprocket? The MXR6's really hook up well at the tracks I ride at according to friend of mine, I'm going to keep them for comps only. I have a pair of Klaws that I intend to burn up (I dont like them either.. slide way too much) Quote CRASHTEST RACING IMMORTAL ATV http://www.offtopic.forum/data/MetaMirrorCache/7cbc5acb2a1ab76eac286e7fe5b4520d.jpg

chronicsmoke
I run a 13:1 piston El Mamito, probably going 14:1 or 13.5:1 next top end. Nice and snappy;) I got to run it with the new suspension, it's beast. I coul clear some smaller tables and land flat and it still soaked everything up, Very impressed. chronicsmoke
Well half a season on it now, it's been good to me so far. Played more with the shocks to get them setup better, so plush.. Anyway, here is what it looks like now, minus black powermadds I put on last week. hoser
Nice looking build! Glad you are getting it dialed in and setup right. What did you end up running for gearing?
chronicsmoke
Thanks for the compliments, Hoser! I'm running 13/38 on short tracks and 14/38 for anything larger.. Still want to try 13/37 and maybe 13/36 but we shall see. When I get a more aggressive build I'll be able to gear up for the short tracks and probably run 14/3X all the time. I have to clutch a bit out of corners if I don't set myself up perfect with a 14t right now. (I'm a fatty @ 205 ) Matt: I'm going to be sending you my head this winter for a little dynomite magic Edit: I saw before I said I'd post my thoughts on the MXR6's.. I use them in loamy sand and they hook up like crazy. Only guy that beats me (on the starts and on the podium) runs the same tire setup as me and loves it. Thanks El Mamito, I'll have to pick up a #37 rear and give it a whip. I was referring to the Holeshot MXR6's, they are great for sandy MX tracks but will wear out lice crazy. Best wearing tires I've ran (for wear ONLY) are by far the Kenda Klaw's.. I pound the shit out of them for practice and they take it. never had a hole or puncture. They aren't the best for traction, but for wear they are good. 450Riot
Yeah I'm runnin Klaw's right now and after they get a lil glazed they lose a noticeable amount of traction. However they are so puncture resistant and long wearing that I think I'd buy them again unless something better comes out. May even try the Kutters. My MXR6's wore out so fast and took so many punctures it was crazy. They did hook up good though like you say.
