[Cloned Food]

As you may know cloned food as been labeled okay to eat. Many people want cloned food to be labeled cloned because they don't want to take risk of eating it. I personally don't think it matters if it is cloned or not, what do you all think. Will you eat cloned food?

lol no...why would i want to eat something thats cloned? i mean, not that it matters but eating something thats already been eaten or something that will be eaten by someone else is pretty strange.

lol i know what you mean dude. im just saying I wouldnt eat something that went through a "scientific" process. just let the damn animals have their offspring normally...it'd be like another human having a baby that looks exactly like me. too weird...im just totally against cloning.

The first minute i saw this i just imagine this potato sitting beside another potato that looks exactly alike...

 

Then i read the article >_> I don't know whether cloned food is err... like, categorized as organic. I mean lots of the fruits and veges we eat have pesticide in it. And like mundo said, it feels like it's scientifically processed. (I just imagine eating a holographic meatloaf... lol)

No I certainly will not eat cloned food. I'm not against cloned things, but fuck....don't clone animals to make food. that's awful.

Let's get straight to the point: I will not eat cloned food, and I'm sure no one else around LPF will either.

 

For one thing, it would be more expensive, since the cloning of a chicken would probably be more expensive that chicken giving birth. Second, it would seem pretty discusting to eat a cloned bird, right?

 

But let's look at it another way.

 

If we can sucessfully clone animals perfectly, nobody would know the difference. We can eat potatoes or whatever and it will taste and be exactly like normal ones.

 

Getting back to my beliefs

 

If cloning gets cheaper and perfect (no 'bad' cloned potatoes or chicken or whatever), then one day mabye the government or some grocery company will start to have a liking for cloned foods and secretly start to distribute cloned food instead of real food (what a problem that would be to the farmers).

I think cloning is wrong in all cases....so I guess that makes food from clones wrong...

I wouldn't eat it, because even though they say it's cloned you don't know what other stuff they are adding to the process.

uhhh it's just not normal...the only way i'd ever eat is if there was a worldwide shortage of food and to survive, i must eat what's available.

 

at this moment though, we have more than enough so I'd pass on the clonage...besides, you never know what the government would have to do with the whole process...they'd probably place tracking chips in them or something to track everyone down O.O
