CNN Poll: Bush disapproval holds steady

Thursday's poll found more Americans believe Democratic leaders would
move the country in the right direction than would Bush.

Fifty percent of those surveyed expressed support for the Democrats,
while 34 percent expressed confidence in Bush.

The war remains widely unpopular among Americans.

Figures released earlier this week showed that 63 percent opposed the
war, while 34 percent still support the four-year-old conflict.

WASHINGTON (CNN) --

Ahead of a national address on the war in Iraq, Americans remain
deeply skeptical about the policies President Bush is pursuing and
unhappy with his job performance, according to a CNN poll released
Thursday.

President Bush is expected to announce his plans for cutting back U.S.
troop numbers in Iraq.

The president's approval rating in the survey was 36 percent --
unchanged from an August poll and barely above where it was in
January.

At the same time, 61 percent of those polled disapprove of Bush's
performance in office -- and the same number said they believe his
policies are taking the country in the wrong direction.

Bush approval rating is TWICE that of Pelosi/Reid and the other Dems in
Congress.

Ouch.

Wrong. The approval rating of Congress is at an all time low but not
that of the Speaker. Pelosi has an approval rating of 35% while Reed
has a 21% approval rating. Bush's rating is 33%.

Pelosi and Reed are doing their best to destroy the Democratic Party but
so far most American still trust Democrats over Republicans.

From what I see, Pelosi and Reid are doing their best to destroy the USA.

As opposed to Bush who after 9/11 invaded a country that had no
connection to those attacks and in 2002 said we found the WMDs that 4
years later Cheney admitted never existed.

Ever see a liberal Democrat smile and shake hands with Saddam?

Ever see a liberal Democrat hold hands with the Saudi prince?

CNN still doesn't get it. Bush doesn't care what Americans think. He
thinks he's the decider. In his sick world, a world adopted by CNN,
Bush is our Supreme Commander. There is no democracy, no majority rule,
no room for holding Bush accountable, no room to stop a rogue tyrant,
no checks and balances. There is only Bush.

Would be that hard for CNN to say Bush continues to defy the will of the
people?

Once more, you take things out of context.

Really? How are facts "out of context".

Fact: In 2002 Bush said we found WMDs.

Fact: In 2004 Cheney admitted there were no WMDs but said he still
would have backed the invasion had he known that at the time.

Fact: Even though conservatives still mention 9/11 and Saddam in the
same breath the administration admits there was no connection.

Fact: Bush never expressed concern about the torture by Saddam until
after 9/11.

Fact: The crimes by Saddam that led to his execution were committed
before Reagan and Rumsfeld armed him.

Fact: The majority of the 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia.

Fact: A minister in the Saudi government called suicide bombing
permissible.

Fact: When he was running for president Bush said that Clinton should
"jawbone OPEC" to lower prices.

Fact: As president Bush said he had no control over oil prices.
