Ok guys havent been on here in a while but I got a question, well i mean more less i need your guy's thoughts...lol I was riding the other day at the track and my coil mounts broke off the frame so the coil just hung now i didnt know it but I rode it for another 2+ hours with it hanging other guys said they thought I knew about it so they didnt tell me. so my question is, It would be darn near impossible to weld those tiny tabs back on and even if It could be done my welding skills are horrible. but....since it hung there and started fine I had a plan what if I was to put the tabs back on (broken pieces) the coil just to ground the one side ground wire out on some metal and connected the hot like it goes and the plug wire down in the head like it goes, and zip tie or tape/tuck the coil under the tank with the wire harness???? I know its not the best choice and its kinda makeshift but I mean it would still start and I dont think its going anywere and since I cant get it welded it seems plauseable....

You're better off to break it down man.. Just take the tank and the fenders off.. I repaired my 250r frame last week with just the plastic and gas tank off and covered the engine with some tin to block the splatter. And no it shouldn't short out on your typical metals.

Get on it if you're riding this weekend :gr_burnout:
