she can't help the world around her
all the evil and hatred that surrounds her
from her mother shows no love
just wishing of a sign from above
feeling hallow and empty inside
just hoping her state won't reside
stuck all alone up in her room
family doesn't know
it will eventually become her tomb
from time and time again
she can't help,
but to say it's all pretend
everything is all right
but don't friends know
she can never sleep at night
they see don't anything,
they sit and stare
they say they love her,
but they don't care
I never said this world is fair
but what gives her the smile
that every day she seems to wear
it's almost too much for her to bare
because inside
she feels asthough her heart will tear
Happened once, two times again
she lies and says its all pretend
trying to hide who she really is
doesnt want to be hurt
memories so vacant belong within
from her absent, alcoholic father
to her chaotic and unloving mother
then her psychopathic, suicidle sister
she can't help that she won't even miss her
she loves them all
can't change the fact
love is the element
that they all lack
too bad they do not see
love is the only thing
that she will ever need

I think I used this in the winter writing contest... but I still like it
