Darvish fans 12 as Texas Rangers clinch MLB home field advantage

The Texas Rangers' Japanese pitching ace Yu Darvish struck out a season-high 12 batters as the Rangers secured home-field advantage throughout the Major League Baseball playoffs with a 3-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. Darvish Friday became just the third pitcher in Rangers history to strike out at least a dozen in six innings, joining Nolan Ryan and Matt Perisho. "I had good results today," said Darvish, whose 12 strikeouts were the most he's had in a start since 2014.
