DemoShield Player has encountered a problem and needs to close

I'm trying to install Retrospect Express 1.1 (I know its an old  version but I like it a whole lot better than the version 7.7 that they are marketing now). The install stops with a DemoShield Player error, the details of which are as follows:

Event Type: In Page Error     P1: 000009c  P2: D00000005
