Cryptic topic but hard to describe in a short sentence..
I am deploying W7 to several company laptops..well, all of them really..
In testing I've just run into this issue:
When I install IE9 during deployment AND my 1st logon to the pc with a normal domain user without any rights the theme comes up as classic XP theme.
if I, on the same PC, log in as domain admin, the aero theme is active. THEN if I login as normal user again..the theme is aero.
If I login 1st time with normal user (and get classic) and THEN just select aero.... it works..
If I login 1st time with domain admin, and then later login with normal user... Aero works fine.
as soon as I remove IE9 from my deployment aero works just fine as domain user.
I must say... I have no idea why IE9 is messing with my theme :-(
To me it seems like something is not run because the domain user does not have the rights, but since it works after a domain admin has been logged in, it would seem that it's a local machine thing?
Has ANYONE seen anything like this? And does anyone have any fantastic ideas I can try/check out?
