Despite reforms, denials thwart Russia's anti-doping efforts

Further revelations are expected Friday when the final report commissioned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) on Russian doping is released. In anticipation, the International Olympic Committee on Wednesday extended sanctions imposed on Russia after the first part of the Richard McLaren report was released in July. As a result Russia's track and field team was barred from the Olympics along with the whole Paralympics squad -- sanctions that were extended indefinitely Wednesday.
