so since ive been told i should do one and everybody really does seem to have one, i thought id jump on the band wagon too. You should ignore all the spelling errors since im dyslexic See i don't understand why your told your dyslexic which tends to mean your spelling isn't so good, yet look at the word for the disability. it isn't too easy to spell

 

So 3.02 in the morning and the first journal thingy entry and my light bulb has just blown. I thought it blow earlier but some jiggering and it worked for awhile.

 

A few fun facts about me. I'm 21. I live in Bristol, England but my home town is High Wycombe. I'm studying a BSc (Hons) Computing degree with the aim of going into teaching after a deserved breaking in Australia for a year. I have loads of fun stories from school cause to be honest i was a right little bugger when i was there and i miss the simplicity of it all and for the last two years i've played semi-professional football (soccer).

ooh you didn't write about your relationship between you and Sarah?

^ I was waiting for that. It was only a matter of time.

 

I can't wait to see the stuff you put in your journal. Remember, you can double , triple, quadriple etc etc post in your journal, you're allowed. I tend to use my journal as a chat room/clipboard for stuff. There have been like 5 page convos between me and my woman at times and various junk I've posted.

Basically the one rule you have to follow love, is that you're not allowed to diss other members in your journal. I did so and I got in trouble with that, but that's been a fair few years since that has happened. Well, I know you're sound asleep now and I'm struggling to keep my eyes open to write this to you, I hope you have a nice sleep and have sweet dreams.

Is your housemate with the ear infection okay now? I've been meaning to ask you that for a day or so but I keep on forgetting. If not, send my love to her. Trust me, been there and done it. Not so good.

I love the fact i got a whole post from you Sarah devoted to explaining the rules, i actually read them before i posted for a change, lol, but thank you it made me laugh. My sick flatmate is still sick and very pleased that my speakers broke yestarday. I'll pass on the get well wishes.

I'm going to avoid putting anything in the journal or at least attempt to avoid putting anything in the journal about other LPF members which would include the whole relationship with Sarah topic speedthief but i also kinda figured that it was common knowledge on here :lol:

Yeah guys, I would also appreciate it if you didn't ask questions about our relationship, as the same to us, we wouldn't ask you the same if your partner was a member on here. If one of us somewhat tells you anything, it's most likely you'll be confined in truth not to tell anyone.

You can talk about other lpf members, but don't diss them. I mean by that for an example only, you guys can talk about me, but not my relationship to Matt or say something mean about me. But it's up to the journal starter really.

My Night With LP

 

Ok, so i decided to write about the LP concert i went to cause i was listening to the Audio from the night i was there and it got me thinking how it was possible the best night of my life.

 

So anyway, LP to my mind don't tend to do many single gigs in the UK. They do alot of festivals but not so much single venues. When i heard that they where playing the O2 in London i was like all up for going, grabbed some friends so i wouldn't be a loner. In the end there was three of us, stuart, Vicki and myself. Of course i was a huge LP fan, Vicki and Stu both listened to them but not religiously like i did at the time. We travelled up from Bristol, which is like the other side of the country to London. I stayed at home for the weekend as did Stu since we both lived near London, had to grab Vicki from Reading train station late the night before the gig.

 

The plan was to meet Stu at Reading train station and head to the venue as a group. Of course this was all my planning and i can never plan anything right. So me, never having been to a gig before and expecting a huge que to get in was determined to get near the front from the get go. So we arranged to meet at Reading train station at just gone 11 when the train fair was cheaper despite the gig starting at 6.30, the first thing of course went wrong. Stu had left his ticket in Bristol so had to get a train down there before returning to London. So Vicki and myself went on ahead to London after having very little sleep, we got to Paddington station and not knowing what to do decided to wait for Stu to come up from Bristol, which again of course took alot longer than expected.

 

Stuart finally met us and we made it to the venue at around 4.30ish and to my suprise found hardly anybody there. After recieving an ear bashing by the two of them for making them get up so early to get there we qued up for a few hours before they started letting us in. All the time signs saying things like no moshing, no studded collars etc etc We go through like check in where they checked for stuff that wasnt allowed and made Vicki leave her bag and Stu his coat. Eventually we actually get inside the venue and a decent position near the stage but slightly to the right.

 

We waited another good few hours before the gig itself got underway, Biffy Clyro who i had up until getting the gig tickets had never heard of began playing. I didn't think much of them except "Machines" that was good. Anyway the whole time that Biffy where playing these teeny bopping girls infront of us kept screaming "Jamie, Jamie". It was so annoying that later on in the gig when Vicki's earing fell out she decided to stab one of them in the back. What made me laugh a few days later was that Vicki had looked up the band and discovered that nobody in the band was called Jamie.

 

Anyway Biffy finished up and the lights came back on. Julian K was surpose to be up next but for reasons unknown to me couldn't make it so another hour or so of waiting and the crowd getting rather restless the lights went back down and an extended intro of What I've Done began playing as you could see shadows moving behind the curtain. As the intro faded out into the familiar piano opening to the song the curtain fell and having had pre-warning from Stuart who'd done festivals before grabbed hold of Vicki's arm as the crowd all pushed forward to get closer to the stage.

 

For the first song everyone jockyed for position, lots of pushing and shoving. People screaming, people jumping up and down. The atmosphere was like nothing i have ever experiance before or after, I mean i've been to Old Trafford to watch Manchester United play and even that wasn't anything like that night. I remember the venue getting really hot with everyone in it, i remember jumping up and down, smiling, rocking it out to LP. It really was amazing. I got a few picture's that i'll include in here at some point. Mike did a very funny parody of Umbrella which was amazing, Chester seemed to embaressed to join in. The crowd new more of the words than Mike did. At different stages in the concert both Rihanna and My Cehmical Romance where mentioned and then booed by the crowd, although My Chemical Romance was defended by Chester and Mike at the time.

 

The best moment to me was the video i managed to get of My December, i had my arm held up for the whole 3 minutes, it killed. What i find funny about it was half way through the video you can see the camera drop which is when my arm gave in and i had to use the other one to hold it up to get the rest of the video, lol.

So the people booed MCR and Rihanna???? I can understand Rihanna but MCR? They're not emo!! Oh well. But man, I would kill to go see a LP concert!

I think Rihanna was touring the UK around the same time and Mike was parodying the song and Chester was like "Give a hand for Rihanna on stage" and i was like no, please god don't let her come out, lol.

 

It was just before they played My December, the pyro they had didn't go off so they asked for a lighter and Chester got bombarded by them thrown on stage. After a little chat about the lighters he throw it back and was like "I stole this one from My Chemical Romance", half the crowd cheered and the other half booed, then of course Mike was like "Hey, there nice guys" and Chester was like "They're my friends". Its really funny in the audio i have cause Chester says his bit and you can hear some guy in the crowd scream "Chester, We love you" :lol:

 

It was just an amazing experiance and i'd so do it again

see i don't hate them but i dont like them either, i like the odd song but thats about it for my opinion of them
