Display driver intel graphics accelerator drivers for windows vista R stopped responding

I've recently formatted my C drive and install Windows 7 ultimate, instead of my Vista. But I started getting the below error message. It says, Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for WINDOWS VISTA (R) stopped responding... whereas I'm using 7 OS. Tried installing the Vista video driver, which is not accepting stating that the OS is not supported. Would you anyone be able to help me out on this situation? Every now and then the error message appears with a 2 sec black screen.
