Because it leads teenagers to become more like them, and thus, we have stereotypes created. I am not saying this is a bad thing nor am I saying it is a good thing; the whole world is full of stereotypes, but Green Dayers are the worst. I mean come on, listen to Wake me up when September ends. They're at least more emo than they used to be, you don't hear emo on their album Warning, for example. I do like Green Day though, at least somewhat. Not a hyper fan. And emo? Bleh, if I like a song, I don't give a god damn fuck what category it fits into. Some days are country all the way for me, or techno or gospel or w/e. Peace.
