Like many others I've had a few Nigerians trying to scam me with pitiful e-mail tales.

Some people are so ****** off with them, that a new sport has been created called- scambaiting. The idea seems to be that you cause the jerk a pile of discomfort on behalf of those they may well have duped.

This exchange is priceless entertainment. The scammer really comes to believe what the scambaiter tells him- namely, that to get the funds he requested, he must join a particular (invented) christian sect. He must then have himself tattooed.

The fool does just that, then sends the proof via a photo. Of course he never gets the money. And a scambaiting conspirator gets involved masquerading as another scammer wanting a cut, the original scam merchant then reveals that he is just a criminal. Its hilarious

I can't wait for my next e-mail from Nigeria ! If i dont post in a while, you'll know why !

I've read some transcripts of similar scambaiting. This one guy strung along his scammer for about 3 months! He had the guy madder than a hornet by the end. Very funny stuff!

Good luck with it and please save and post the transcripts! :D

Well, I.ve followed the advice, and set up a mail address just to deal with these folks. Next as advised, I've posted on guest notice boards, which are known to be used by scamers to find victims. Of course I,ve left the e-mail address.

Now I just sit back and wait for a bite.

To make myself seem like a likely target I am posing as a priest. That should reel in a few bad-uns.

Gods peace be with you brother. I hope all is well with you and the Divine Love Charity Home.

Unfortunately, I can offer no financial help to this charity, as 50 years ago I took a vow of poverty. All my wordly goods are given to my order- The Children of the Righteous.

Our order does wonderful work in the developing world, but only where the recipitants join our order. Last year the order donated over $750000 to charitable work.

Reminds me of this white guy that I know (I don't know his real name, but we all call him "White Mike".), who proclaims to be from the streets (The mean streets of Middle-of-nowhere, GA.). He is blacker than my long time Marine brother and close friend who happens to be black, but speaks like a nerdy white guy.
