Downloaded but lost Office 2010

I purchased Office 2010 Professional Plus and downloaded it onto my machine. When I tried to open an Office file, it would open in the Office Starter version that I assumed would be uninstalled. When I uninstalled the Starter and "Click & Run" files, now nothing opens and I get a box saying an Office product is needed to open, and when I click on the box saying I already purchased an office product is says that my product key (from the set I purchased) is invalid. What do I do?
