Drowning in Deception

If I live onto tomorrow,

Does that mean that I had defeated death today?

I brought along the memories and sorrow.

Still death follows me with every word I might say.

Does this love leave a door open for evil to get in?

To scratch and claw at my unhealthy heart!

Transform my world all from within.

It's making this world fall apart.

Do nice words really make us feel better about what we had thought?

He says your pretty and do you believe his lies?

They all play the part until the day they get caught.

Until the moment when the evil inside cries.

For fear of the truth we hide behind our own disguise.

We live in this world called denial.

Even though the untruthful people we all secretly despise.

We all seem to be masters at our own guile.

So at the end of the day are we proud?

Do we really feel content with our accomplishments of the day?

Can we finally say the things we hide out loud?

Should I really reveal the words i'm secretly dieing to say?

Deep, insightful, and something everyone can relate to on some level I think.

I thought this was particularly well executed;

For fear of the truth we hide behind our own disguise. We live in this world called denial.

Even though the untruthful people we all secretly despise.

We all seem to be masters at our own guile
Bravo.
