Zewail, who served as a science and technology advisor to US President Barack Obama, died Tuesday in the United States. President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Al-Azhar's Grand Imam Ahmed al-Tayeb, Defence Minister Sedki Sobhi and renowned Egyptian-British surgeon Sir Magdi Yacoub were among those who attended the procession.
