In an interview with AFP, King urged the European Union to shore up its defences in the face of a mounting danger. "Cybercrime cost the European economy nearly 60 billion euros ($64 billion) in 2016" and the bill will continue to rise, King said ahead of a cyber security conference in the northern French city of Lille on Tuesday.
