|||FEAR|||Mike Shinoda|||

Okay... this is my new story I have written about Mike after failing miserably with my first one. Both of these can also be viewed on my quizilla file ((sn: sebby02)) along with my Chester and Brad story. Ignore the grammatical errors and spelling errors. I tend to like to write my stories at three in the morning when I can barely keep my eyes open.

Here goes the suckiness!

"Ohhh... what now? Poor Brad... always a loser and never a winner." I smiled and he gave me a punch in the arm.

"Leave me alone! Its not my fault I suck at Halo!" He half laughed.

Rob joined in, "Nah... I think it is your fault."

Brad glared at him, "Im done playing with you video game skilled people."

We all laughed as he got up and started to walk out. I threw a pillow at his back and he gave me the finger.

"Love you too babe!" I yelled in return.

Brad turned around and glared. I blew him a kiss. Laughing, he walked out.

Phoenix put his fist out, "Dream team dude... dream team."

I put my fist to his and everybody laughed.

"You guys are going to hate it when we beat your scrawny *****." Chester said.

"Psh," I paused, "You wish!"

"Stop talking about it and lets get back to the game," Joe interrupted, "The quicker we get back to the game the quicker we can win."

I shook my head, "Im out. Good luck beating Phi-Phi!"

Standing up they all booed me, "Wuss! Giving up Glue? Youre afraid arent you?"

"Yeah... Im ready to **** myself Im so scared." The words came out as I turned to face them. They laughed and I turned back to walk to my bunk.

My bunk is a mess. The blankets are already bunched up in a ball with a hat tangled up in the sheets. The pillow is pressed against the wall, a shirt draped over it.

"We just got on the bus an hour ago and your bunk is already destroyed. The bay key anywhere in there?" Brad was behind me.

"Ha-ha very funny. I bet yours looks worse." I was facing him now.

He chuckled, "**** no. Not a spec of dirt." He pointed across the small area between the two bunks.

Looking over his shoulder, I discovered his bunk... blankets neatly spread across the mattress and the pillow placed carefully on the bed. There isnt even a crease in the pillow case.

"****..." I smiled.

He responded, "See... I may not be able to play Halo for ****, but I can sure as **** beat you when it comes to being neat."

I gave him a light shove and he headed to the back where everyone else was.

I gave a confused look, "I thought you were done playing."

He laughed, "Its a one man dream team right now... I have a better chance of kicking ***."

I just shook my head and giggled as he went and back to be harassed by everyone else.

Ignoring the unclean look of it, I threw my body into my bunk to be disturbed by an abrupt cracking noise. What the ****? I sat up and reached to where I had felt the object. It took a while to untangle it from the sheets and comforter, but I eventually got it out. It was a CD, now having a huge split in the plastic cover from my body landing on it. Fear it read. Its the band were going on tour with. I figured Id check them out. The lead singers a girl and so is the drummer. The best part is that theyre actually good. Its industrial music which isnt really normal for me to listen to, but I still think its interesting. Another good thing about them is that theyre not Evanescence wannabes or anything... their music is a little heavier.

I sighed and fondled the cracked case, then threw it to the side. I just stared at the top of the polished wood bunk. Suddenly, I felt dreary. My eyes kept closing, but I kept forcing them open. It didnt work. The noise of the guys cheering lulled me to sleep in my mangled bunk. The noises faded and I was in a dreamless sleep.

Sorry it's so short! Maybe I'll update the story sometime soon.

My face was burning as the sun beat down on me. My face, neck, and back were soaked with sweat and my mouth was filled with the taste of salt and dirt. I gave a light cough and gazed into the world in front of me. Dust clouds floated through the air. Water bottles and bodies flew through the air, swamped by arms and peoples heads. Singing and screaming people. I leaned my head into the microphone, counted, waited, then went. Joined Chester and the yelling crowd. We kept going together until I was solo with only the faint voices of the fans following.

A bottle reached the stage barely missing me and was kicked back out by Brad. I turned around and smiled at him as Chester took the spotlight. And all at once, it was over. A roar of cheers flooded us on stage and I smiled to myself. Our fans are still going strong despite the fact that it's about 115 degrees out. A towel was thrown to me and I wiped the sweat from my face and energetically tossed it into the crowd. A blonde headed girl up front caught it and she hugged her friends in rejoice.

Rob stumbled onto the lower stage and we patted each other's shoulders. He threw out his drumsticks that landed somewhere in the crowd. I peered over at Brad who was chucking out guitar picks and Joe who was wiping his sweat on Phoenix's shirt. I laughed. Chester was blowing kisses to the crowd.

Eleven minutes later we exited the stage and walked with each other to the dressing room. One by one we changed and did what needed to be done. And, as usual, a towel fight started. I stayed a good distance away and just changed.

"Did you, by any chance, meet that new band yet?" Joe was sitting on the bench in front of me.

I tried to think, "Uhhh... which one?" I smiled.

We weren't with the normal group this year. We had a bunch of new comers with us.

He looked thoughtfully at the ground, "That uh... that one with the girl as a lead singer. Oh uh... Fear! That one!" He looked back up to me.

"Yeah. That industrial one? No I haven't. Not yet at least. Why? Have you?" I asked back.

He shrugged while smiling, "Just wondering. I didn't yet."

Rob leaned on my shoulder, "What are you guys talking about?"

"That band Fear." Joe replied.

"Oh yeah. The one with the girl." Rob nodded.

"Have you met them?" I looked at him.

He nodded again, "They're cool."

"Well... maybe I'll find them later and hang out."

We stood and in Joe's case, sat in silence for a brief moment.

"Okay... well... I have to finish getting changed." Rob announced and let off my arm.

And after that... time sped by. Before we knew it we were heading out of the dressing rooms and to our bus to be swamped by fans. But... I was pumped. There's no better feeling in the world than the feeling of being wanted and appreciated... to know people care that much about your thoughts and opinions... it's... amazing.

I could already see people's arms stretching over the baracades as we approached. Everything was going normally like it always does until I bumped into someone. I spun around to say sorry and was faced by a girl. Her hair was brown and cut at her chin. It was messy. I kept looking. There's just something about her... something that is making me stare. She was facing me with green eyes.

I snapped back to reality, "Uh... sor-sorry." I couldn't help the stuttering.

She laughed a little and walked away. I half smiled in return. Someone smacked me in the arm. Rob.

"Well... you just met the lead singer. One down, four more to go." He said.

Confused, I was speechless. Until finally it dawned on me of what he meant... Fear. Quickly, I turned to see the girl again, but she was gone. ****...

"Hey! Mike! What the **** are you doing man?!?" Chester yelled to me half laughing.

I spun around and faced the guys, already signing papers and arms, shirts and drumsticks. I jogged over to them. We probably spent thirty minutes signing things and talking to fans. As usual, it was a blast.

When we got onto the bus, everyone separated to do some quick things before brainwashing ourselves with Halo. Chester was organizing his shoes as plodded to my bunk. Today, my bunk was especially ****** up. The blankets were clumped up at the foot of the mattress with the pillow intertwined with it. The bay key sat in plain sight on my crumpled white sheets. I threw my hat in, adding to my shirt and boxers that lay within the blanket ball.

I looked across at Brad's bunk. Clean... that *******.

"I feel bad for your parents." Chester came out saying, "Having a son as messy as yourself." He smiled.

I laughed, "Dude... shut up!"

He threw his pillow at me and I giggled.

"Hey ladies, having a pillow fight I see." Phoenix was passing through.

"He started it!" I fake whined, pointing to Chester.

"Tattle tail! Tattle tail!" He pointed back.

We laughed and Phoenix headed to the back. I tossed the pillow back at Chester and it hit him in the head. With a smile plastered on his face he gave me the middle finger.

I hopped into my bunk to have a little down time. My eyes were feeling heavy and shortly after they closed I was being shook awake. That's when I opened my eyes to see her...

About time you update this story! Thought you gave up on it, glad you didn't though. I loved it and made me crack up to. Can't wait for more though. Keep up the good work .

Until next time.

Thank you. Nah... I won't give up on it like my last one. And don't worry... I haven't forgotten about your story! I've been reading and rating on Quizilla. ^_^

"Wake up sunshine!" She gave a wide grin.

"Who the **** are you?" I asked jokingly.

I crawled out of the bunk half way and saw four strange faces hanging around the front of the bus. Chester was looking at me, pointing and laughing. I shook my head chuckling.

"He send you?" I asked sitting in my bunk motioning my head towards Chester.

She nodded, "Nice guy." Smiled...

I got out of the bunk completely and stood next to her. ****... she's short. She didn't seem this short when I bumped into her earlier.

"I'm Gabrielle... you can just call me Gab." A second or two went by, "Or Gabby."

"I'm Mike." I held my fist out at her.

She just cocked her head a little with a puzzled look.

I pulled my hand down, "Sorry. It's just a thing I do with friends or... new... people..." My voice faded off near the end of the sentence.

She giggled a little, "It's fine. I'm sorry. I'm just not really used to that kind of stuff."

"Nah... you dont have to say sorry. I didn't expect you to really do that kind of stuff." I gave a weak smile.

She nodded, "Want to meet the rest of my crew?" She pointed towards the front.

Ignoring her for a few seconds, I sat staring into her eyes. They were so green... they were a perfect green. I could see a small dot of red in her left eye.

"Hello?" She waved her hand in front of me.

"Oh sorry. Um... yeah. Sure. Of course." I smiled and half laughed.

Slowly she started walking and I followed. Chester and Brad was in front, Brad in the drivers seat, Chester in the booth, cracking jokes with our guests. Everyone else was either sitting on the ground or on the couch. I took my spot on the armrest, a good distance from everyone.

"And this is Mike." Chester announced.

The four people said "hi" and introduced themselves. Out of all of them, the only names that I caught were Jason and Echo. ((Could it be?)) Jason, the bass player apparently, was a bit podgy with thick fingers. His hair was the colour of a red heads and spiked like I used to do. Echo was the other girl of the band, the guitarist, and her hair was almost blinding. Lime green. Every strand of hair, green. Her roots weren't even showing. Unlike Gabby's, her eyes were an almost dull gray. But I found myself intrigued. The others were, for the most part, exactly alike. Anorexic thin with pale skin. Black hair spiked and chocolate brown eyes.

Everyone was talking, but I quietly sat there twisting my wedding band on my finger, observing the new faces.

Gabby and Echo were almost identical, except for the eyes and, of course, the hair. Maybe they're sisters. Both were thin, Gabby a little bigger than Echo, and almost flat chested. Echo was doing the same thing I was. Sitting, staring, and keeping to herself. She was sitting alone.

I took off my wedding ring and looked at it carefully; reading the words engraved on the inside.

Love Always, Anna

Without thinking, I snorted out loud. I slipped the ring back on and looked up. Chester had his eyes on me. The expression on his face wasn't good. Two years ago, Anna and I got divorced. I've been "moping around" since, according to Chester. I haven't been "moping"... just... taking it easy. They keep trying to set me up with girls, but each time I refuse. I can take care of it my self.

"But you won't!" The guys always tell me.

I will... just not now.

Abruptly, everyone gets up and Brad informs me that they're going in back to play Halo. I'm asked to join. I decline. I think I'm going to go back to sleep.

I get up too to go to my bunk, but realize Echo is still on the couch. I look around. Isn't she going with them? No. She stays where she is. Shaking it off, I start towards my bunk again, but am stopped by my thoughts. You can't leave her alone, I tell myself. It'd be rude. You need to get out more anyways. I sigh, going back to the front of the bus and sitting down right next to her. Maybe too close for comfort. With that in mind, I scoot over a bit. Now there's a reasonable amount of space between us.

She looks to me and smiles, "Not going back there with them?"

I shake my head, "No. I'm not in the video game mood. Why aren't you back there with them?"

She snorts, "Me? Video games? There's a disaster waiting to happen."

"Come on," I say. "You can't be that bad."

Shaking her head she says, "Trust me. I am."

Alls I can do is smile. She's just looking at me with an amazed look.

I'm confused, "What?" It comes out politely.

She shakes her head and tells me it's nothing, but I insist.

"It's just... you're the amazing Mike Shinoda everyone talks about. That's all." She shrugs slightly.

I laugh, "People talk about us like we're ***."

She turns to me, putting her leg up on the couch, "Well. You guys kind of are in the music world."

I shake my head, "*** in the music world would be John Lennon or some **** like that."

Half laughing she tells me how we were her influence. I'm shocked. Not one band that I've met has ever said something like that. We're usually the people looking up to bands, not being looked up to. She tells me how we were her obsession. This shocks me too. If you were to look at her the first band that would come to mind is Marilyn Manson, not Linkin Park. She's... gothic almost. I don't know... not the Nu-Metal type though. This conversation feels a little awkward. I've had plenty like this, but for some reason I'm a little shaky about talking to Echo about our music. I think she can tell.

I change the subject, "So. Are you and Gabby sisters or something? If you don't mind me asking."

She almost nods, but then says, "No, but we're cousins. Why? Is it that obvious we're in the same family?"

I nod, "Yeah. You look a lot alike. Is that a bad thing?"

We laugh a bit, "No. I was just wondering. My dad and her dad, who were brothers, looked a lot alike, so that's probably why."

Interested, I nodded. Her eyes were wandering and she was gazing at my wedding ring.

I took it off, breaking her stare, "Ummm... wife." I kind of shrugged. She just nodded understandingly. She knows. I can tell. And right now, she's probably thinking Why is he still wearing that thing? But you know what? I couldn't tell her, I can't even tell myself.
