File Attachment Size Increase

Currently the limits are as listed below. Though server storage size may be an consideration, these limits are too small to attach anything of real value or typical size. Other forums attachment limits are multiple of these and serve well to share information. Thanks.

This is definitely a Nathan question but Others as well as myself have posted some decent size pics with no issues

Hmmm, I get the file limit exceeded icon and then you click the offered help and the limits I listed above pops up. On my own websites, I'm administrator and by default I have no limits to postings, attachments, etc. Maybe that's why you, Nathan & other admins can post bigger attachments and others can't. ????

No, just uploading small photos or files from desktop. It sees them, uploads and then maxes out even though the file is only 160kb (popup says limit is 19kb).

That could be the issue cause all my pics came from my photobucket account. I'll check with Nathan when he gets on :thumb:

Nathan, the image uploader only works for images and not pdfs & docs. Will the file attachment limits of only 19.5kbs (too small for use) be raised for those types?

Nathan - System is still showing no increase and it refused my pdf upload & it was only 50kb. Here is what the system is still showing as limits.

How are you trying to upload attachments? I don't see this popup anywhere, I just logged in as a normal user and uploaded a 500k attachment no problem.

I don't have this problem on other forums but it obviously isn't the limits if your able to upload 500k.

 


I click on reply (or new thread), click on go advanced, click on the paper clip attachment icon, click on add files, then I select my 50kb .doc or .pdf file, click on upload, then I get file to large error notice (a red !) and hover over it and it says your "Your File Size of 50kb Exceeds The Forum's Limit 19.5kb For This File Type" and if you click on the now available "?" you get the pop up showing limits that I've been cut-n-pasting. You can log in as me if you'd like and see if it's my account itself, my computer or just me. Sorry for the trouble but I appreciate you trying :-/

Can't cut-n-paste, tried that already as the information is in tables and the formatting doesn't transfer properly and the info is nearly impossible to use.
