Demonoid is Dead...

Dont know if its permanent or not, but they are dead(Demonoid, Albumbase, Oink).

The CRIA threatened the company renting the servers to us, and because of this it is not possible to keep the site online. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your understanding.

Meh, Demonoid wasnt that great, it never had anything what I was looking for and if it did... the users would be dead stingey with their bandwidth.

The loss of Oink is much greater as it actually provided stuff you couldnt get anywhere else and I never got under 50kb/sec on it

I agree...and most of the time you had to be cautious downloading torrents off demonoid because quite a few fakes were around on that site. Never used OiNK personally, but I've heard quite a bit of positive feedback on them when they were around...but I can't say anything about them as I never used them, but I did use Demonoid and most of the downloads I tried to get were slow on top of haveing to verify the user that posted it and block certain IP's just to download (which made it even slower).

yea its been that way for like the last 2-3 months... I honestly don't think thy will come back.

They're in the process of moving their servers to Germany, so it looks as though they will be coming back!

I loved demonoid...I never really downloaded music on it so don't know about that...but I never got wrong files on it...I used it for about 2 years.

There is no official word on Demonoid coming back. It is rumor still. I could see it coming back though, and hope it does.

The Pirate Bay

Don't really use much else for torrents but the bay has such a limited amount of files it's hard to find the one's you want let alone anyone shareing the things.

Yeah, I wasnt much of a demoniod user, occasionally I would find something good there, but It seemed to my like a bunch of people liked it. Just went there today and saw it, hadnt heard anything about it, so I posted.

Pirate Bay and isoHunt have treated me well in the past... as well as ipodnova for mp4 vids for mah pod.

Demonoid was a great torrent site, not the best, but I rather enjoyed it. I will miss it quite a bit if it never comes back... it was the first torrent site I ever used.

and yeah I think they will continue....but there are so many sites they will never be able to take them all down.
