Fort Minor now booked to play at Summer Sonic 06 with Linkin Park!!

I posted it at FMMB first so it's exclusive there but holy cow:

While I was on summersonic.com looking to see if LP would be streamed online to hear, I saw that Fort Minor was added to the list! It was just added recently!

Summer Sonic Music Festival 2006

August 12th in Tokyo, Japan and August 13th in Osaka, Japan

Fort Minor will be on the Mountain Stage in both cities, while LP plays on the Marine Stage in Tokyo and the Open Air Stage in Osaka.

**** yes, both LP and FM performing August 12th and 13th How dope is that for Mike? lol.

Can't waaaaaait to hear it. As usual, I bet it'll be streamed online. The festival will be on multiple TV stations and radio stations across the world. Visit summersonic.com for more info.

as cool as it sounds, why does Mike have bring Fort Minor along? I thought they were just a side project until LP came back.

Probably this is just a theory PROBABLY becaus in the early stages Fort Minor lost money........... alot of money when touring where the cost totally out weighed the revenue. Since Where'd You Go came out as a single Fort Minor has gained alot of popularity..... so why not recoupe ur losses at a festival when your side project is at the height of popularity :thumbsup:

OMG that is so sweet. i can't wait to see both of them play i'm a big fan of lp and fm but yea i agree with FTboy i thought it was a side thing and lp was working on a new album now... o well, i really like mikes work he gets what he deserves hes worked so hard its amazing how far he has come!!!

and i just checked out linkinpark.com they are so creative its pretty cool y'all need to check it out its pretty nice :thumbsup:

Well I just don't want Fort Minor to become way bigger than Linkin Park cause it will mean Mike will have to focus way more on his side project than he does his main band.

it wont...? wen LP split in the distant future, i can still see shinoda keeping up with FM and as a recording manager

interesting to see FM at the summersonic festival...but shinoda may get burnt out...

hope shinoda looks afta himself or hes gonna be soooo heavily stuffed having to do LP then back up to do a FM concert

That's cool. Isn't this the first time in history a band and a member's sideproject have toured like that? I can't recall anyone else doing something like this.

venue is at the LPU I think and no FM won't be there.
