This is your chance to remix Fort Minor's "Remember The Name", make it your own, and win a Technics SL-1200MK5 turntable (subject to official rules). Mike is picking the winning remix, so all DJs: dust off your Pro Tools, jump on your decks, and show us what kind of remix skills you got. Fort Minor Creative Commons Remix Contest

Here's what the contest page says:

Creative Commons, Warner Bros. Records, and Machine Shop Recordings are proud to present the Fort Minor Remix Contest. Fort Minor is offering the separated audio elements of "Remember the Name" online under a Creative Commons BY-NC license, so that producers all over the world can easily create remixes of the hit song.
To enter, produce a remix of Fort Minor's "Remember the Name" (download the audio sources here) and upload it to ccMixter between March 22, 2006 and May 6, 2006. All entries must be licensed to the public under a CC BY-NC license. After all eligible entries have been received, Fort Minor's Mike Shinoda will choose a winning remix. The producer of the winning remix will be awarded a new Technics SL-1200MK5 turntable, courtesy of Warner Bros. Records and Machine Shop Recordings.

Your remix must include the vocal track from "Remember the Name." You may, but are not required to, also include other elements from the original version of the song in your remix. You can download the album version of "Remember the Name" for free by visiting Fort Minor's MySpace page.

Note: You are free to use music licensed under CC BY or CC BY-NC, audio in the public domain, and your own original sounds in your remix. Submissions that include music that you don't have permission to use will become ineligible.

How to Participate

1. Read the following sections and the Official Rules. (Also available for download as a PDF file.) This is important, because you're agreeing to the rules by participating in the contest.

2. Download the audio sources, which are offered under a CC BY-NC license. This means you're free to use them for any noncommerical purpose, as long as you give credit to Fort Minor, Warner Bros. Records, and Machine Shop Recordings.

3. Make your remix.

4. Submit your Remix under a CC BY-NC license between March 22, 2006 and May 6, 2006.

Format of Entries

Entries must be in MP3 format. Duration of an entry may not exceed 5 minutes. All eligible entries must be received via ccMixter.org by 9:00 p.m. PST on May 6, 2006. Entries that finish uploading after 9:00 p.m. PST on May 6, 2006 will not be eligible.

Prize

After all eligible entries have been received, Fort Minor's Mike Shinoda will choose a winning remix. The producer of the winning remix will receive a Technics SL-1200MK5 turntable, courtesy of Warner Bros. Records and Machine Shop Recordings.

lol um0, it's not shocking when you already had all of that in better quality than they do ^_^ their acapella sucks too. if you want it in mp3 or wav, ask cause I can upload it all. mine aren't labeled the same though since I've had mine for a while....

I hope Jake kicks the FMMB's puny *** on this ****. I wanna see Jake, Bloodfrost, and chipz go at this. Some hot **** I tell you cause since they made all the samples available, anything is possible.

i bet he means messing with the RTN producer files that are really old.

I made a whole Remember the Name song just with those, 100% true to the original (no pun intended)
