Okay, since my departure from LPF I was on a site called boredofstudies.org where they have interesting boards about raging abuse to each other to what the real purpose of the site is, which is to help Australian students along with their HSC studies (HSC= Higher School Cert) and their problems they might encounter doing school. But what I found interesting about the structure of the forums where the profiles. I am a member, born2baplacebo (of course! i had to compensate for LPF at school).

While on LPF, your profile doesn't show your friends, the members that you have as friends get a stingy little cross next to their name when they appear online. But your profile on BOS, showed your friends, and other people that considered you as friends.But there was a section above it where it showed your mutual friends, where both parties accepted each other as friends, and they would appear with their avy, instead of the other option where if you weren't mutual friends it would only be displayed as a link.

SoI am thinking, if that idea came up and LPF implemented such thoughts, would it take a newer version of LPF to bring it up?

Unfortunately I don't think your idea will get too far, considering the people capable of doing this, are never here. Keep trying though, its a fairly decent idea.

no not a popularity contest. the point of this is just so users can see who's added them as a friend and the other way round etc.

yes on the surface but we all know that we are secretly undermining each other to gain superioty over the boards..ive been planning my coup since i joined! *shiffty eyes*

To me I think it would bring more Probz to the forums and such,

I have to agree with Fribs, I think it would begin fueds between members.

I personally think it's a Good Idea.

I do think think it'll bring fueds also.

lol yeah basically all the active members will add each other as friends. Our LPF community's a tad too small for it.

I personally didn't think of it as being a popularity contest, just a different way of setting profiles out and making use of the 'friends' option more properly.

I think we should just trial it. Seeing it is a good idea but as previously stated, we might encounter social problems. I just say give it a try anyway.

look around somewhere in here and there is a thread called liek lpf wishlist, put it in there so that when our owner does visit **** have one perfect place to look.

the idea isn't bad, but i think we need some other upgrades before we get that kinda stuff. like new looks new major attractions you know big things.

plus the BOS is funded by kids paying premium for notes and what not, we dont exactly contribute much monetary wise =P
