German police have charged the leader of a far-right political party

with inciting racial hatred after he recommended Adolf Hitler's former

deputy for the Nobel peace prize.

Police in the eastern city of Jena said on Friday they had filed the

charge against Udo Voigt, head of the National Democratic Party (NPD),

after he proposed the late Rudolf Hess for the prestigious award during

a speech last weekend.

If convicted of incitement, Voigt could face a jail term of up to three

years or a fine, police said.

Voigt made the comment in Jena last Saturday as he marked the 20th

anniversary of the death of Hess.

The German people are a robust and industrious. Unlike the U.S., if

their government gets out of line or fails to govern, they throw the

pricks out. End of story. They don't WAIT for problems to fester

until they become irreparable--they fix it yesterday.

Should the same set of economic, political, and sociological

circumstances develop as they were in the post WWI era Germany, the

people will give their government the opportunity to fix it (as was

given to the Wiemar democrats) or they will be abruptly replaced,

side peeking out. Hey if anyone has a right to bitch about that

country, it's me. Still, when you put personal discontents aside and

look at the outcome of that era, there was no other way it could have

come to the conclusion it did. Hindsight is always 20/20, there were

things that could've/should've been done another way, but when all is

said and done, that entire situation deserved itself. The Brits and

French were begging for it, and we, like a bunch of idiots went along

with the program and later got sucked right into it as well.

Moral of the story: careful how you hogtie a nation--especially if

you're going to kick dirt in their faces while scalping them. Not a

good way to bury a hatchet with a highly inflammable armistice in

Interesting thought considering the piece of work Stalin was. I think

it would have raised a few eyebrows then gotten shrugged off since his

ideals borrowed little from Marx's school of thought. Stalin without

question gave "communism" a bad name. Hitler's relentless attacks on

communism didn't help matters in that day either.

In retrospect, and looking at where we are today specifically at the

income gaps and the commoditization of human life, I don't think

Marxism will get flushed down the obscurity crapper anytime soon. I

think his philosophy will be contemplated by a lot more people in the

Hess was the guy who flew to Scotland in 1941, supposedly to try to

broker peace between germany and england. Churchill wouldn't allow that

to happen since he was controlled by the bankers and industrialists who

wanted the war and started it. At least, that's what many believe.

Hard to tell what happened since nearly everything is a lie and history
