Giants matriarch Ann Mara dies

Ann Mara, the mother of New York Giants co-owner John Mara and a fixture at nearly every Giants game for almost 60 years, died on Sunday at the age of 85. John Mara said in a statement that his mother died of complications following a fall in front of her home during an ice storm on January 18. "I am sad to say that our mother has passed away," John Mara said. Ann Mara was married to Wellington Mara, who died in 2005 at the age of 89.
