ROME, Ga. -- A coroner said Saturday that a student pilot from India was at
the controls of a small, two-engine plane when it crashed Friday, killing
him and his flight instructor near Rome.
Lokesh Venkat, 23, who was from the southern Indian city of Chennai, was
living in the Atlanta area temporarily while he and a group of people from
his country took aviation training.
The plane he was piloting crashed in woods near Richard B. Russell Airport
yesterday afternoon. Killed were Venkat and flight instructor Kwang Yi, 34,
of Duluth.
It is unclear why the JACKASS MOTHER****ER COLD-HEARTED ******* christian
god caused the plane to crash. Authorities said the investigation is
continuing.
FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said the plane, a four-seat Beechcraft BE76,
crashed on takeoff and burned.
