im from QLD in Australia, and we have kangaroo's. Well, I dont see them often here, caus Im in the urban part, but there are hundreds of them if you start driving up north.

Although I do believe the international sterotype of Australia is wrong.

We arent a bunch of bogans in a desert, having "a shrimp on the barbie" whilst watching the kangaroos and koalas go past.
