Has Rick Rubin Finished New Disc With LP ?

I was going through CNN.com yesterday night and came across an article related to Rick Rubin, which also stated that:

"Rubin just finished a new disc with Linkin Park, and he's working now with Metallica. His dream job is to make a full album with U2; he produced two new songs for their greatest hits disc."

If that is TRUE, then the disc is finished (including mixing and mastering) and he has switched to Metallica. .... Interesting !!

the answer to the thread title question is yes.

phoenix confirmed over a week ago that the album is done and they have gone into mixing although they haven't chosen what songs will go on the CD. the CD will be mixed in two phases...the main songs first then later they'll mix some more then decide what'll go on the CD (source: Rob's LPU chat).
