I have lost all persoanl file and folder content after what appears to be a malware problem it has also removed or has hidden certain desktop shortcuts. I turned the laptop off as it it would not close any other way. The laptop started in the recovery mode and the content was then missing. The new shortcuts i have created are marked 2 does thsi suggest that the orginal may be hidden?
I would really appreciate any help you are able to offer.
