High school American football player dies after gridiron injury

A New Jersey high school football player died after he was hurt in a game on Friday night, school officials confirmed on Saturday. Quarterback Evan Murray, a three-sport star at Warren Hills Regional High School died after being injured during a game in Washington, New Jersey. In a statement released Saturday, interim Superintendent Gary Bowen said the school community was "deeply saddened" but did not elaborate on the nature of Murray's injury.
