LPShinodaFM
You've all seen movies like Mean Girls and read stories about high school popularity. Is it really THAT bad? Obviously in high school there will have to be cliques because it's not like in elementary (oh when we were so young...) everyone has one class and eventually... people don't mingle with one another anymore. But does your highschool have like distinct lines between something like the popular, jocks, nerds, goths, etc? (meaning entirely no offense to anyone here) Cuz maybe i'm just dense, but i don't feel that much distinction in here. Obviously, i can feel some just aren't as well liked as others, but not like those "I'm the most popular girl in the whole school, you don't even deserve to look at me" Everytime i see some of these movies it just amazes me how popularity can be so... scary... how ppl would like savage to get to the top... (it's like politics) But are they just Hollywood stuff or reflected off of real life? For those not in highschool yet, be very very happy... Sygy
its kinda a true but maybe a little exaggerated by the media at my school there is defiantly the distinct line. for example we have the JP's, the emos, 'gansters' and the stoners. Im a stoner. But yeah i see your point about being 'savage' and i agree with that going to an all girls school at the moment. for example. this one girl ddint invite me to her party. So i got mega-pissed. and basically spread all these rumours about her being a whore have having STI so that literally only 5 ppl showed to her party in the end when she invited like over 20..so meh...yeah Quote iam mors sola fuga est [broken External Image]:http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/9977/n76430001741552817731hb2.jpg

(it's like politics) But are they just Hollywood stuff or reflected off of real life? For those not in highschool yet, be very very happy... My high school was very savage. Lines? ha! They all dug trenches. We had the preps, geeks, stoners, jocks, and outcasts. Preps were the biggest, and they took up at least 45% of the school. Jocks were the second largest, they took up 15%. Stoners took 5%, geeks took 5%, and the Outcasts (people no one wanted anything to do with) got 10%. Cliques were nasty, and there were alot of rivalries. Our marching band and our football team had a bitter rivalry. The preps despised the stoners, and the stoners felt the same lol. those two often got into verbal scraps. And Jocks just hated everyone, and were on 'ok' terms with the preps. Preps were not the evil ones at my school though. the Jocks, they were the worst. They were the tormenters...they were assholes. I do think that high school is bad, and in many ways I don't think Hollywood exagerates it at all. But that is just my experience. The only thing all those groups had in common was that they loved to get drunk ;[ Quote And then I felt chills in my bones / The breath I saw was not my own I knew my skin that wrapped my frame / Wasn't made to play this game XXI
Black_Angel
Mines alright actually, sure there are some cliques. Chavs being the majority, who just hate everyone who isn't a chav. Then you have the scenesters, geeks, and then just the normalish people. Everyone gets on with each other mostly, except for the chavs. They hate us, we hate them.. simple^^ It's probably worse in America or other places where you don't have uniform. It singles people out more. If everyone looks the same then you're less likely to get bullied or whatever. Quote i still love you, girl from mars. Hybrid Soldier
our groups arent distinct, but you can tell sports apart, because different sports tend to get their own group, and then the scenesters, but besides that its all mingled, and even the ones that arent mingled are mingled enough
LPpinkfreak821
I remember a thread like this. Someone else was worried about it. well, here's my opinion [& I'm not going to lie to you] In my high school, [i dont like to label but] there are cliques EVERYWHERE. Sure, everyone associates with each other here & there, but it's mostly cliques. It isn't as bad as it seems, but it can get bad. There are the backstabbing kind of people. Highschool = Drama. It's not nesecarily Mean Girls or the high school movies, BUT it can be at some points. You just have to be careful with who you trust. It's mostly easy, but there are times when its a total BITCH! LPShinodaFM
i'm so glad i don't have to go through this... i'd like to thank my mother and father for sending me into a school without so much drama... I when you say highschool = drama... i mean, there's hormones and stuff, right? Life was so simple when everyone was in kindergarden... the most problems i had was that the boys kept stealing my toys and the girls kept stripping my barbie dolls... That wasn't very fun... LPpinkfreak821
drama... as in he said this, she said that she's pregnant he has aids.. blah blah blah. Rumors. you & your friends will fight [[[it's normal]]] you & your bestfriend will argue over who liked the cute guy/girl first I'm not going to lie to you. This happens to EVERYONE even if it doesn't seem like it would... - You'll get emotional or suicidal. - You'll sometimes feel rejected - You'll feel like you won't fit in. EVERYTHING happens. Just remember... DRAMA NEVER ENDS. . . never. stupidsoul1
I think in my school the preps are actually the losers, except they like all schools hold the majority and are hence popular, with their $1000 shoes. They all wipe eachothers asses. And just never seem to win. Me and my friends don't fit in with any of the cliques. We socialise with the preps, the jocks, the goths, the nerds, the losers. We are all the same, but no one seems to realise it. By_My-elf
hhmmm...I'm in highschool I don't like to socialize but somehow I manage to get along with everyone. Even though I'm not much of a talker.... like if I'm insulting someone they take it as a joke and laugh and say I'm a cool guy. If I do this and that everyone seems to be amazed... dunno why? Still one big mystery...but yea it could get rly bad sometimes. it's always goin to be like that noones goin to stop it. meteora500
My school is very good when it coes to cliques. Obviously groups of people that hang out with each other generally dress and act the same, and have the same interests...but nothing to major. Theres also very little rivalry between different groups. So thats one thing I like about my school. Breakingthehabit_197
High school was hell for me! I hated it! the people sucked, the cliques were annoying and the school work was hard as shit.I was an outcast in high school, so I was the target for some people to make fun of.I had one boy that would keep saying nasty crap to me to make me get all pissed off and not be in a good mood for the rest of the day. I got up the guts to go to the counselors office to tell them that I was being harassed by some geeky looking guy who was popular. He also told me I was never going to graduate, I proved him wrong I ended up getting my diploma. After graduation, was over a month later I saw that same guy come into my neighborhood and buy drugs from one of my neighbors, I was like and this guy thought he was tough shit in high school. ha! what an idiot. I ended up being the only smart person in my class lol, about half of them now are married and pregnant and most of them are barely 21 lol. Sad very sad. Thank god I made it through high school in one piece Quote [broken External Image]:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v375/DeltaRocks_18/73043585_m.gif[broken External Image]:http://tn3-1.deviantart.com/fs19/300W/f/2007/275/0/8/Lestat_Stuart_Townsend_by_Mariella89.jpg "I am The Vampire Lestat"
