So three weeks ago I get laid off from a company I've invested 11 years in. I get called into the office on what would be my Friday and was told I was part of a group that was being downsized.....obviously my jaw hits the floor. Thank *** for my 401K that I have been dumping into the past 11 years otherwise my family and I would be ******!
I get a phone call out of the blue 3 days later from a company I had interviewed for 2 months prior and they say a position opened up and wanted to know If was still interested. Of coarse I said yes and I finally had a solid **** since my nerves and anxiety finally settled down. Was offered more money than I was previously making and I'm no longer sweating my *** off climbing poles in this AZ desert! Bummer is I don't start till June 18th but I've had one **** of a vacation so far, The wife works as a Social Worker for a school district so she is off as well, two weeks ago we jammed up tho Prescott, AZ and did some fishing and beer drinking. Last weekend we jammed out to So Cal and sat on the beach and some more beer drinking, and now were getting ready and loading the toy hauler to jam up the Rim Country, 6800' elevation for more.......beer drinking!!
Getting laid off aint been so bad after all!!
Cheers Fellas!
