rrguy
Looks good!! pretty easy to find caps to plug them holes if you wanted. I once bought a set of mudcaps off ebay all they were is 8" pipe plugs lol which didn't fit my rims but if anyone wants to try them I will mail them out. Quote I don't want to be just another Member. rrguy
I was wondering about air, or nitrogen lol Also those durablue X33 axles are nice where the hub clamps on with a 1/2 bolt from backside. sill wouldn't solve air unless you added valve stem on backside of rim also, thats like spending 100 to save 10 lol let me round them up an pm your address I will ship them out they are plastic but worried if I keep them any longer they will rust lol Quote I don't want to be just another Member. RopherToloson
Made out of Lexan from Home Depot. Drilled holes for most of the ring hardware. Attaches by 3 of the ring bolts. O-ring on the opposite side of the lexan to prevent losing hardware when they are off. Loud450man
i agree the above would be the way to go but i still dont like unbolting stuff just to air up the tires. mine went flat at the track the other day and i had to shove my size 13 alpinestar boot thru it to air the tire up lmao Quote 450r mx quad ...sb, st, flux capacitor :headbang:
APEDZ215
could always cut a hole big enough to get a air nozzle in there Quote Id like to thank my sponors- Slick Offroad Wash Smx Optics We All Ride Clothing Spazztic race company http://450rhq.com/data/MetaMirrorCache/deece7395707b8ea761fe09ee76f3765.jpg

APEDZ215
haha good point, the one thing id be worried about is the lexan breaking, i was thinking if i can find black fast food trays i could cut them down, its plastic but its somewhat soft, also why put a oring in there? chronicsmoke
I made these myself out of a black recycling box with a scroll saw and had a local graphic guy make the stickers for them. They work good, My OMF rings have 11 bolts so they will still hold air if I take out 4 bolts to install the mudcap. Also, I'm thinking on drilling new holes on the inside of the rim for the valve stem, then you could fill them up while the mudplug is still installed. RopherToloson
There are holes drilled for all of the bolts except for 3 which are actually used to hold the lexan onto the ring. If you look closely at the picture you can see which bolts are not recessed. The o-rings are on the back of the 3 bolts which come out of the rings to take the cap off. It is so the bolts are not lost when airing up the tire. APEDZ215
did you use the same length bolts? Or did you need bigger ones? And what thickness is the lexan? RopherToloson
Same hardware that came with the rings. Smallest sheet of Lexan they had that would fit. Its shatter resistant so won't likely break, maybe if you are slamming into large rocks.
