Guest Deven
Any guesses if it is possibly a 4 wheeler? It is ALL NEW, UN NAMED and magazine crowd worthy meaning not a crf50 or some crap..... Im guessing a full race 2 or 4 wheeler. 2 wheeler does not sound promising to me I think a 4 wheeler........ anyone else?
TRXFLYER
I hope it's an all new 450 4 wheeler. Maybe if they reset the bar, other manufacturers will follow suite and the interest in quading would pick up again so we can get more into the sport and more opportunities at tracks & events. 450Riot
It's easy as long as their is a pre-programmed map from Dynojet or whoever's box you're using. 05REPO450
I talked to a friend that works at the local Honda shop (Shenandoah Honda) a couple months ago and said they will be debuting a fuel-injected 450 at tomahawk mx in WV next month I believe he said. ridinredjav
bring back the 04/05 motor... updated. a good efi wouldnt be bad and i would bet on the new 450R having it since the CRF has it. i would also bet on it having an aluminum frame. anyway... how are the aluminum frames holding up on bikes and quads like the KFX450R compared to steel frames? Yeah i bet it will have EFI and an aluminum frame since thats what all the other 450's have. And i have never really heard of anyone breaking a KFX or YFZR frame, or any of the bike frames, not like the honda steel frames that some people break even with a gusset kit installed Quote 2004 MX 450R: Houser slicast +2.25 LT a-arms, Fox float X evol LT front shox, Dura blue X-33 +4" axle, GTT MX linkage, Fox podium X rear shock, Houser +2" steering stem, Motoworks SR4 G2 full exhaust system, Tusk nerfs, CST ambush tires, DWT wheels. strubby
The KFX frame is very well built. It's not a material issue if any others are breaking. If Honda does it right, aluminum would be a good thing. I like EFI itself, the power delivery and throttle response. Also fine tuning is easier than swapping out a bunch of jets, but I'm NOT a fan of all the electronics that go with it. The thing I liked MOST about my Honda was it was so simple, easy to work on and reliable. More tech means more room for bugs. Now with the MXR, I'm starting to enjoy working on a bike again... IMO of course. Quote '08 Outlaw 450 MXR - Some Mods
