How come the Christian right don't get this worked up over the extremely important issues?

Now if they would just get this worked up over prison rape, parents
throwing their own kids out into the streets, rampant homelessness,
businesses ripping of the American people left
and right, and the general atmosphere of hate and violence maybe we
could get somewhere.

Never happen. Jesus preached love, grace, peace. Jesus was asked which was
the greatest commandment and he replied with two -- the "religious right"
doesn't want to hear that part of the Bible -- they just want to hear the
part about rules, laws, vengeance. They'll never get worked up over what
really matters.
