How do I eliminate Check Security computer virus?

I have been trying for the past 3 weeks to eliminate this virus. I have gotten some good input from a number of people. That input has gotten me close to a final solution; but not an end-all. I have removed my infected hard drive and have connected it to a non-infected computer as a jump drive. On that "clean" computer, I have run both Security Essentials and Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes comes up clean. However, Security Essentials keeps coming up with a severe infection: TrojanOS/Alueron.E. Under "Items" is boot:\\.\PHYSICALDRIVE1\PARTION3(TYPE17).

I'm a neophyte. So I would appreciate very easily-followed answers, if there are any out there. Thanks.
