How do I get rid of error code 0x8007064e from windows XP after downloading Windows Security...

All of my problems started after I downloaded Windows security essentials. I would like to remove the essential update & get rid of the above error code, how do I go about this?
Ps; the essentials do not show up in control panel add/remove section
