I have recently built a new computer using the following hardware:
ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3 Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
Hitachi 3TB SATA 6.0Gb/s 7200rpm HDD
Plextor SATA Optical Drive
I am trying to install Windows 7 Ultmiate (x64) on this system using GPT so that I can make full use of my 3TB HDD. Is anyone familiar with this motherboard/BIOS and can you help me to figure out what I need to do to successfully perform this actions?
I have already tried going through diskpart and converting the disk to gpt once but, after installing, the disk was still marked as MBR and cut off after ~2TB. What steps do I need to do to successfully boot from the DVD in EFI mode?
