The constant anger
(memories come rushing back)
The constant yelling
(causes emotional doubt)
Silent shadows standing in defeat
I am:
Letting the pain drown me
Closing my eyes and hiding
Running for my sanity
Stress and Defeat
(linger at my side)
Mind games only fool me till the pain is hollow
(buried under false pretenses )
I am:
Hiding myself from the lies
Pushing myself to a safe place
Shielding myself from my life
You yell and scream at me
(silent laughs fill me dreams)
Telling me to go away
(telling me I am nothing to you)
My head pounds at the sounds of yelling
(anger fills my empty soul)
My eyes shed streams of tears
(from the thing you say to me)
My ego is hurt
(my soul wounded)

Letting my thoughts drift to higher ground
Keeping wide eyes to follow the actions which will come
Tensing at the sound of your voice
I am letting go of life
