I can't download Windows updates.

When I try to install Windows updates I get error code 800B0100.  I tried to install KB947821, the fix on the Windows download page and it says it is installing but it never does.  My virus protection is Windows Security Essentials and I can't figure out

how to turn it off when I tried that before downloading.  Any suggestions?
