Ok, so I need to buy a new computer.

Well, my own anyways. And I figured

LPF has enough people who can probably

help me pick a good one.

Now I really dont want to spend over 1,000 usd on this. I'll stretch to about 1,500 if it is a really good deal.

  1. I want both a monitor and cpu in the deal.
  2. The monitor must be at least 17 inches.
  3. I will primarily be using this cpu for internet, photoshop, and music editing. occasionally maybe film.
  4. Built in wireless is always a perk!
  5. Windows Vista Home Premium is as low as I'll sink. (unless its like OS)
  6. The more memory the better
  7. same for speed
  8. something that will last
  9. good screen quality
thoes are just some things id like in the cpu.

I was considering buying an Imac, but I dont know if its worth it. Please lol any help works. i mean im not to good on cpu specs so im not aware on what is a good deal and what isnt.

hmm we here in SA are probebly behind on the tech stuff but a nice Pentium Deul Core with 2 gig DDR2 ram and a copied windows with a LCD 19" would be perfect for you :)

It's called patching!!!
In the long run, It's better getting a custom built computer then buying 1 from DELL, COMPAQ... etc etc

2000 Pro is the best OS there is.

Yes... But you do need to know what your doing to keep it stable... Other then XP how that's a little more stable for people who arnt really good with computers.

If you get one from Dell it's always a good deal...and they have a great customer service
omg... someone actually liking what Dell builds... They might last what a year!!!??? A custom built 1 can last several years!

erhem.

ok.

yea so like. I dont want to build my own computer because like someone said. It's costly and I don't have people who can get me **** at a 40% discount. So any legit advice besides how much XP owns and how Dells suck? :D
