Icon changes in IE7?

Hi

Had some issues with my PC for the last week and just discovered this

today - a couple of icons in my favourites and Google browser have

changed.

In the first screen snip, Goggle's icon has changed into a red star/

sun from the G we all know. In the second screen snip, eBay has changed

into a tower symbol. Also, you can see the same icons in the top of my

favourites panel to the left-hand side.

Any ideas? Have i been compromised? I run Vista Ultimate 64 with

Ad-aware 2007 and Avast 4.8 plus Defender: all 3 programs are run

everyday and nothing's been found recently.

Hello,

I would guess it just your icon cache that is corrupt, delete it and let it

repair by deleting this file

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\IconCache.db

1. Remember that those folders are hidden

2. %username% should be replaced with your login account
