We are running Reader 9 and Acrobat 9 on a production enviroment with Windows 7 32bit with Internet Explorer 9. There is compatibility issues with other software which forces us to use Reader 9, not X.
Problem with this combination is, that users cannot open pdf links via browser, IE shows an error, that reader/acrobat cannot be found. This happends also with Acrobat 9. After I updated Acrobat to 9.5, it started to crash on few machines, so the update is out of question. Version of Reader is 9.4.5.
I need an 100% sertain answer, is there a known compatibility issue between Reader 9 and IE9, or is there something what can be done?
